£25.00–£35.00 per hour PAYE + Paid Planning & Preparation Time

New Chapter Tuition is recruiting experienced Tutors and Qualified Teachers to provide personalised 1:1 tuition and educational support for young people aged 11–16 across Bromley and surrounding areas.

This rewarding role involves supporting learners working at KS3 and KS4 level who are unable to access full-time education due to SEND, SEMH needs, school exclusion, anxiety, EBSA, medical needs, or other barriers to learning.

Many learners are educated through Alternative Provision, EOTAS packages, or bespoke tuition arrangements and require a patient, flexible, and relationship-led approach.

The Role

• Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition and intervention sessions

• Support learners working towards KS3, GCSE, and Functional Skills outcomes

• Deliver English and Maths tuition as a minimum requirement

• Adapt learning to individual needs, interests, and abilities

• Build positive relationships that promote engagement and confidence

• Support learners to overcome barriers to education

• Complete session reports and progress updates

• Work collaboratively with families, schools, Local Authorities, and other professionals

What We're Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) and/or substantial tutoring experience

Experience supporting learners at KS3, KS4, GCSE and/or Functional Skills level

Confidence delivering both English and Maths tuition

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Experience supporting learners with SEND, SEMH, Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, or additional needs

Enhanced DBS (Update Service preferred) or willingness to obtain one

Right to work in the UK
